How to Vote in West Vancouver
As you know it’s election season and it’s time to start making your plan to vote. For voters who may be away during Advance Voting days (October 7th, 10th, 12th) or on Election Day (Saturday, October 17th), you are able to vote by mail.
Mayoral Candidates
The candidates for Mayor of West Vancouver are (listed alphabetically):

Advance Voting
Advance voting takes place at West Vancouver Municipal Hall, 750 17th Street, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on:
- Wednesday, October 7
- Saturday, October 10
- Monday, October 12
Election Day – Saturday, October 17th
Voting places are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. You may vote at any of the following locations:
- Gleneagles Community Centre – 6262 Marine Drive
- Hollyburn Elementary School – 1329 Duchess Avenue
- Irwin Park Elementary School – 2455 Haywood Avenue
- Ridgeview Elementary School – 1250 Mathers Avenue
- Rockridge Secondary School – 5350 Headland Drive
- West Vancouver Community Centre (Sports Gym) – 2121 Marine Drive (enter on 21st Street)
- Westcot Elementary School – 760 Westcot Road
Wheelchair access and curbside voting are available at all locations.

Below are the steps to receive and return your mail ballot package (from election.westvancouver.ca website)

- Complete the application form here to vote by mail.
The application form is also available for pick up at the Election Office, located at West Vancouver Municipal Hall, 750 17th Street.
- Email, mail, or deliver your completed application form to the attention of the Chief Election Officer at the District of West Vancouver Election Office:

Applications must be received by September 28, 2026. After this deadline, you may arrange to pick up a mail ballot package from the Election Office.
- If your application is complete, a mail ballot package will be mailed to you.
- Return your completed ballot and documents to the Chief Election Officer before the close of voting at 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
Mail ballot applications may be mailed to the Chief Election Officer or dropped off at West Vancouver Municipal Hall at 750 17th Street, West Vancouver, BC Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (excluding statutory holidays). On Saturday, October 17, 2026, mail ballots can be dropped off at the drop boxes outside the north and west entrances of Municipal Hall.
